CSP IS HOLDING OPEN CALL AUDITIONS
FOR THE REMAINDER OF THEIR 2012 SEASON
Collaborative Stage Productions, a professional, non-profit theatre company located in Hammonton, NJ will be holding OPEN CALL AUDITIONS for the remainder of their Inaugural 2012 season. Equity & Non-Equity Actors are encouraged to submit, as we may secure AEA guest contracts for select roles/productions.
WE MAY NOT HOLD INDIVIDUAL AUDITIONS/CALLBACKS. DO NOT MISS THIS OPEN CALL IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE FOLLOWING PRODUCTIONS; ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST, MY WAY, THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM SPELLING BEE, THE ROCKY HORROR (FUNDRAISER) SHOW.
OPEN CALL AUDITION DATES/TIME:
MONDAY, APRIL 23rd, 2012 @ Camden Catholic High School, Cherry Hill, NJ
Slot: 6:30PM, 7:30PM, 8:30PM and 9:30PM.
OR
SATURDAY, APRIL 28th @ The Eagle Theatre, Hammonton, NJ
Slot: 12:00PM, 1:00PM, 2:00PM, 3:00PM, 4:00PM and 5:00PM.
HOW TO SUBMIT:
— Attach your resume/headshot.
— Request audition date/time. We will respond within 72 hours regarding the availability of date/time.
— Please specify the show(s)/role(s) for which you intend to audition.
— Note: If you are open to ALL shows/roles, you will be considered for ALL shows/roles.
Our panel will consist of Collaborative Stage Productions’ 2012 Directors/Musical Directors.
If you have not heard from us regarding your audition slot within 72 hours, do not hesitate to email ed@collaborativestage.org.
WHAT TO PREPARE:
If you are auditioning for MY WAY, THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE,
THE ROCKY HORROR (FUNDRAISER) SHOW:
— Two (2) musical theatre songs, each 16-32 bars max. Please be sure to choose two songs that vary in style,
both musically and theatrically. An accompanist will be provided.
— Please bring your own sheet music or CD track. No accapella singing, if possible.
— If you are auditioning for a specific role we strongly suggest you sing from the show.
— Note: If you are auditioning for MY WAY, please be sure that one of your selections is a Frank Sinatra song,
or prepare a 3rd song (Sinatra).
If you are auditioning for ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST:
— Please prepare a 1-2 minute monologue.
— You may be asked to read from the script as well.

-Description: Before the film swept its way into the heart of American cinema, this stirring adaptation of Ken Kesey’s novel was locked deep within the psyche of theatre goers ‘round the world. Randall Patrick McMurphy, a charming and deranged rogue, leads us into the disturbing and often humorous site of life at a local mental institute. Don’t miss this cast of characters in a dark and dangerous glimpse of those who have been silenced for far too long.

-Description: Spend the evening with the soundtrack to the greatest music of the 20th Century! My Way is the must-see musical that celebrates the mystique of Frank Sinatra and the tunes he made famous. Audiences and critics agree — this easy-going comedy boasts the powerful music, superb arrangements and the style that made ‘Ol’ Blue Eyes’ an American music legend. Grab a bar stool, a high ball and close your eyes as we toast to The Voice. This music revue features 56 songs recorded by "Old Blue Eyes" Performed with a live, on-stage 3 piece jazz band.

A quirky yet charming cast of overachievers, for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time, will warm your heart, tickle your funny bone and perhaps teach you a valuable lesson; winning isn’t everything and losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser! Note: Grownups play kids, some audience interaction, nose picking, name calling, inappropriate word spelling, cheap jokes, big laughs… an absolutely c-h-a-r-m-i-n-g good time!
